Scarab Media does indeed host the web site for Pacific Retirement Services, Inc and has done work for hire on their web site for over 6 years. The web site configuration, setup and security is solely the responsibility of Pacific Retirement Services, Inc.

The use of our Corporate name "Spliethof, Inc." and or dba "Scarab Media" in their recent notification to you was not authorized by our company.

Spliethof, Inc. shares no fault or is in any error in regard to any potential loss or compromise of ANY information posted to the Pacific Retirement Services, Inc. Employment Application web site located at www.prsemployment.com.

In 6 years of our hosting their web site, Pacific Retirement Services has not addressed Scarab Media with a corporate security policy or set of procedures. The data they accepted online through their job application is subject to rules and regulations that are outside the scope of knowledge and responsibility of Scarab Media. It is our feeling that through their lack of experience in Corporate Risk Assessment and modern day technologies that an attempt was made to shirk responsibility by mentioning Spliethof, Inc without prior approval.

On February 5th we were contacted by PRS to send them information in regard to their web site's current configuration. We were given 5 days to produce this information and are in the process of finalizing our documentation, consulting legal counsel and complying. We also have a six year affiliation with them and they need to know the technical history of their web site from us. This might indicate, since we've been contacted by at least one of you with a letter from PRS regarding this matter in hand, that PRS lacks PRS lacks the proper knowledge of their web sites current configuration as well as it's six year history and has given our company a short time to provide what we know. This notice is in place primarily since PRS has elected to send you their security "breach" notification mentioning our company by name without our authorization.
